SHIVSEVA SPORTS CLUB LIFT DREAM 11 CUP IN UNDER 12 CRICKET

Mumbai, 18th May : Shivseva Sports Club from Borivli lift the Dream 11 Cup in under 12 Cricket Tournament, organized by Dilip Vengsarkar Foundation at Oval Maidan, Churchgate. They beat Pro World Talent Cricket Academy by 16 runs in the finals and become the first time winners in this tournament. While batting first Shivseva got the good start from their openers- Shriyans Sawant (22 off 30 balls) and Arham (39 off 34 balls) who added 65 runs. After both of them departed Praveer Singh (36 off 31 balls) and Saif Ali (35 of 25) put together unbeaten 60 runs partnership for the third wicket to finish at 148 for 2 in the allotted 20 overs.
While chasing this target Pro World Talent Cricket Academy lost their first wicket early but Harsh and Aryan Desai added 55 runs for the second wicket to keep their hopes alive. Aryan was out on 22 but Harsh scored 59 runs in 48 balls with eight boundaries. But once he departed their other batsman could not do much and were restricted to 132/7 in 20 overs. Arjun dadarkar claimed 2 wickets for 15 runs. Saif Ali who made unbeaten 35 and who was instrumental in two crucial runouts was declared as man of the match in the finals. Former Indian Hockey Team captain M. M. Somaya, who gave Olympic Gold medal for India, gave away the prizes. He was very impressed with the performance of the junior cricketers.
